For men
- Dhoti or pyjama with kurta, or trousers with a shirt
- Dhoti and upper cloth (uparna) are required for abhishek and special sevas; they are provided at the seva office
- Caps and hats are removed inside the sanctum
Code of conduct & dress code
The temple is a living place of worship. Simple traditional dress, a light bag and a patient heart make darshan pleasant for everyone.
Dress code
Traditional Indian attire is requested for everyone entering the inner courtyard and the sanctum. Children under ten are exempt.
For women
- Saree, salwar-kameez or churidar with dupatta
- Long skirt (ghagra) with a blouse and dupatta
- Modest western wear with the shoulders and knees covered is allowed in the outer courtyard
Not allowed beyond the main gate
- Shorts, bermudas, mini skirts and sleeveless tops
- Torn or ripped jeans and clothes with offensive prints
- Night wear

Mobile phones & cameras
Not allowed beyond the security check; deposit them free at the phone lockers.
Leather goods
Leather belts, bags and wallets are not taken into the sanctum.
Tobacco, alcohol & non-vegetarian food
Strictly prohibited on the entire campus, including the parking plaza.
Weapons & sharp objects
Knives, blades, lighters and matchboxes are removed at the security check.
Large bags & luggage
Leave them at the cloak room; only a small pooja bag is allowed.
Plastic
The campus is plastic-free; carry flowers and offerings in cloth or paper bags.
Drones
Flying drones requires written permission from the trust and the police.
Free shoe counters
Footwear is not allowed beyond the main gates. Counters are free and give you a numbered token.

Queue etiquette
- Join the queue for your darshan pass or slot; please do not cross the barricades.
- Keep the queue moving and do not stop in front of the sanctum; everyone deserves a view of the deity.
- Keep your voice low, switch off your phone and follow the instructions of the security staff and volunteers.
- Offer flowers and prasad only at the designated counter; coins are not thrown towards the sanctum.
- Give way to senior citizens, differently-abled devotees and families with small children.
- Keep the campus clean; use the dustbins and the drinking-water points on the way.
