Gaushala (sacred cow sanctuary)
Behind the temple, on eleven acres by the river, our Gaushala cares for Gir cows, rescued cattle and cows too old to give milk, for their whole lives. Their milk is used only for the deity's abhishek and the Annakshetra.
Cow welfare
Open sheds with fans and misting in summer, soft sand bedding and daily grazing along the river bank.

Medical shelter
A small veterinary hospital treats our own herd and injured cattle brought in from the district.
- Operation theatre and recovery pens
- Vaccination against FMD, HS and lumpy skin disease
- 24-hour ambulance for rescued animals
Fodder and feeding
Green fodder is grown on the Trust's own fields; dry fodder, oil-cake and minerals are bought through the central bhandar.

- Dung and urine turned into organic manure and biogas

Visit the Gaushala
Open to devotees from 7 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 6 pm. Gau puja can be performed with the Gaushala priest on Ekadashi and Gopashtami.
